It makes me absolutely sick □ upside down on the loan and feeling like there is nothing to do but tie yellow balloons around it Since I have owned it it has had new shocks, new transmission modulator, new transmission, new tires, and now needs a new drive train… I don’t think the heating system is quite right either but haven’t been able to drive it much since I bought it. It is currently sitting at a local garage with a little over 74000 miles. I have a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox that I bought used with around 72000 miles in February 2011. my brother drives a 78 and it run alot more smoother then mine:( shame on chevy!!!! I have a 2005 equinox….seriously chevy should be ashame with this car on the market!!!!car is nice on otherside transmission is giving up on me.everytime i shift it jumps and first gears it jerks and slips.my car is not that old. Never had a transmission problem before in my entire life. Could be a bad syncro, torque converter or even some electronic sensor, who knows. When I put it in manual mode, it didn’t slip anymore which is how I drove it to the dealer but it gave hard shifts at the low gears, fine at the higher gears (3-6). First sign was that it took extra long to engage when going from R to D. My 2010 Equinox is in the shop now with the transmission slipping in first gear. It’s been jerking n running horrible for the last 2 months This is unbelievable!!!! Less then 70,000 miles on it. Just got told that my Chevy Eq 2005 will have to have the transmission changed. Now I am just waiting to hear back from the dealership on the amount I’m going to have to pay □ I had the bucking and jerking problems also. I don’t understand how this could happen….the car is not even old. I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox and now have it in the shop. I told the service rep I wanted the vehicle looked at as I drive many miles each day and don’t want anything to happen with transmission. When I called my dealership, the service department laughed when I repeated what the dealership said. I may be a woman, however I know that transmission fluid only about 6 months and 12,000 miles should not be black. I was greatly susrprised when the owner of the garage called and told me my transmission fluid is “black like motor oil”. Last week I took it to my regular garage to have my tires rotated and oil changed. the dealer replaced the torque converter but that didnot stop the problem so they rebuilt the trans, now the speed censer has gone bad 4 times in the last 3 months, drove the car today and the same thing happened the engine light goes on and the traction light light and you have no more trans, the dealer is stumped and now my extended warranty is up. I have a 2005 Equinox, ran very good intill it hit the 70000 mile mark, the trans started shaking when it shifted into high gear. Should I be concerned? I am at 3000 miles now and have had the car 3 months. Still, it does idle rough and hesitate with the AC on. 9 days in the shop and I had to get firm to get them to replace the tranny rather than rebuild it. Dealer acted very surprised to hear this–I’m sure they were.
